2002/5000 Those who wait for the Lord will have new strength; they will raise wings like eagles; they will run, and they will not get tired; they will walk, and they will not get tired.
Isaiah 40:31

The story is told of two woodcutters who participated in a logging competition in a Canadian forest. Both were very determined to win the prize.
The first, quick and ambitious, he fell without rest on the trees that were in his plot. The other one seemed a little slower. He was cutting the trees methodically, at his own pace. At lunchtime, he stopped an hour and then resumed work at the same pace. His opponent preferred to continue his work, without resting or eating.

At the end of the day, the hard-working worker was dismayed when he learned that his adversary, whom he considered much less energetic than him, had won. "I do not understand anything," he said, "I worked harder and harder than you, I deprived myself of eating ... and yet the one who won was you!"
The winner replied: «During my break I sharpened my ax!»
A Christian hymn says: «Watch the morning ... watch at noon ... watch the night». One of the stanzas expresses this advice: «Find a moment to be alone in prayer».

How necessary it is, in our hectic lives, to find every day moments of communion, of prayer to speak to the Lord and to listen to his voice, to renew ourselves! We have to do the balance together. Read the Bible, pray, hear a hymn or even sing it. This means «sharpening our ax»!
"Certainly I would seek God, and entrust him my cause; who does great and unsearchable things, and wonders without number "(Job 5: 8-9).

Discretion will keep you; It will preserve your intelligence,
Proverbs 2:11 RVR1960

Discretion = Quality of a person who is characterized by moderation, prudence and good sense.

What does discretion keep us from? A discreet person is an observer and realizes things. He thinks twice about what he's going to talk about.
He prefers to keep his opinion for the right moment. She is a peacemaker and patient. She does not mind being in the background. It is a quality that we should seek, together with your friend, prudence. E.B🌺
